How tuition works
We go over the figures with you at the first class. Here is how each part works.
What sets tuition
Tuition depends on the student's age group, how many classes a week they attend and whether they are on the competition team. We go over the figures at the first class.

Registration
A one-time registration comes with joining. It opens the student's file, and the front desk explains it at the first class.
Holding a place
A place is held once you finish registering. When a class is full we keep a waiting list and call families in order. Classes have up to 20 students.
Billing
Tuition is billed monthly by autopay, and we send a reminder before the billing date changes.
More than one student in the family
When more than one student in a family trains here, the front desk explains how it works at the first class, because it depends on who trains and when.
Withdrawing
Enrollment runs month to month. To stop, tell us in writing at least 30 days ahead; the month in progress is billed as usual. You can pause for travel, injury or a busy season: ask us how.
Month to month
Written notice, 30 days ahead
Pauses by arrangement
Missed classes and make-ups
A missed class can be made up in another class for the same age group and belt level in the same session. Tell the front desk ahead and we will find one that fits. Make-ups do not carry into the next session.
Uniforms, gear and other costs
Beyond tuition, a few costs exist, and each is for something specific. We go over each amount at the first class.
A uniform and first belt, when you join
Each belt test
Sparring gear, for the sparring lab
Tournament entries and travel, only if you choose to go
